Self-determination has come a long way, and our families have seen many changes. Institutions were once considered the only answer. Today our loved ones now survive—and thrive—at home and on their own.

One thing that hasn’t changed over the years is Acumen’s commitment to our families to deliver the highest quality services at the lowest possible cost. We are now in the process of implementing online services via our web site which will provide on-demand forms, reports and other services.

Acumen recently hired Geoff Boeing, our new Webmaster, to oversee the implementation of these online services, in some cases, building them from scratch. Geoff and the rest of the IT group have been working to make more of Acumen’s services available to the families we serve via our website. “One of the great things about web-based services is that our families will be able to access reports and services on demand,” says Geoff of these projects. “It’s very convenient and saves Acumen and our families postage and printing costs, and delivery time.”

• Online forms - Examples: employer forms, applications, etc. Download documents on demand, as many times as needed. Say ‘goodbye’ to mail delays!

• Online timesheet entry - Employers & workers can submit hours worked & services performed online. Clients and employers can also view & confirm timesheets.

• Employer reports – Clients and employers can view allocations, timesheets, and employee lists on demand.

These services will be password-protected so that only account holders may access information specific to that client and employer.

Our overall objective is always to make delivery of services for our families more convenient while increasing accuracy and lowering costs. And that change is good.
